Finding Nature has a new guide called ‘Nature Connection in Schools.’ It can help you bring children closer to nature and make time outdoors more meaningful. The guide explains a simple framework called the ‘Pathways to Nature Connectedness’ which focuses on using the senses, feelings, beauty, meaning, and care for nature. It encourages parents and teachers to go beyond just outdoor activities and help children form real, emotional connections with the natural world. It also highlights how nature can support wellbeing, confidence, and care for the environment, with ideas that work everywhere, in countryside and towns. The handbook is tailored for teachers but can be used by parents and anyone involved in early years education.
