Unseen Dulwich - A Walk through Dulwich's Fields
Tuesday 21 June at 7.15pm
The Local History, Wildlife and Trees sub-committees have combined to present a highly unusual and probably unrepeatable evening. In co-operation with five different sports clubs in Dulwich there will be a walk through 'Green Dulwich'; almost all the walk will be in fields with opportunities for bird-watching, wild flower hunting and tree identification. Experts will be on hand to help with identification. (bring field glasses!). In addition, the local history group will give some of the historical background to the area walked - the medieval open field system, Dulwich's early film studios, World War II sites and the 1948 Olympic Games. Meet at the Griffin Club (Kings sports ground) car park, Dulwich Village opposite Dulwich Infants School New Building at 7.15pm. Walk ends at the Crown & Greyhound garden at approx. 9.15pm
